Air-Vision, Video Assisted Duct Cleaning was founded in the summer of 2002. The owner and primary technician, Ward Holman, formerly worked for a reputable Heating and Cooling Company cleaning air ducts. Prior to entering the duct cleaning business, Mr. Holman spent nearly twelve years at the Overland Park Marriott working various food service and hospitality positions. His well-honed hospitality skills now serve Air-Vision well while inside customer’s homes. You may have seen him working and skating at the B&D skating rink in Independence in the late 70's and well into the 80's (as well as today!) He is a college graduate and enjoys model trains, and attending car races. Air-Vision was founded with only quality work in mind. The duct cleaning industry has always been plagued by poor quality work caused by untrained or uncaring technicians. Hidden charges and tricky coupons are also prevalent. Air-Vision operates much like a reputable handy-man service does, only that it is a specialized cleaning service. Air-Vision offers every caller a written quote to be Faxed, Mailed, or Emailed. The quote itemizes each part of the job, and the accompanying file further explains the duct cleaning process. Air duct cleaning relieves homeowners of dirt, debris, sheet rock dust and other allergy -aggravating particles harbored out-of-sight. Air- Vision also removes insect parts, small toys, and mouse skeletons. New construction ductwork often contains construction debris, lunch trash, and much sheet rock dust. Older homes ducts can be constricted by built-up mats of hair from pets and humans, which catches other contaminates before they reach the furnace filter. Air-Vision uses the Viper Clean Sweep duct cleaning system. The Viper conforms to the EPA recommendation, and industry standard known as, “source removal”—simultaneous agitation and vacuum removal. Customers no longer have to worry about dust swirling around their homes and settling after the duct cleaner leaves! After inspecting the duct with a flashlight and mirror, the Viper tool is inserted down the pipe all the way to the trunk line in the basement. After cleaning, the duct can be fogged with Envirocon anti- bacterial growth inhibitor. (This is and optional service and adds about 12% to the bill.) The Air-Vision video camera is standing ready if needed for a closer inspection. |
